Welcome

As a member of the NBCA we are all proud members of the parent club for Norwegian Buhunds in the

United States. Once you become a member of NBCA there are many ways to be involved. Our

amazing Buhunds provide us with wonderful opportunities to meet other Buhund guardians and learn

about this smart, talented, demanding, and loving breed. As an active member we can participate in the

governance of the NBCA, provide input on and vote on issues that impact our wonderful breed, and

volunteer with the events and activities of the NBCA. But to stay an active member of the NBCA it is

important to renew your membership when your membership comes up for renewal.

Here is a quick reference guide to renewing your NBCA membership.

 NBCA Membership Renewal Notice emails, with renewal form, are sent to individuals and

household whose memberships are expiring at the end of the year, in December from the NBCA

 Signed Renewal forms with any updated contact information and dues need to be received by

the Membership Secretary by 2/28

 Second Membership Renewal Reminder emails are sent in January or February to individuals

whose memberships are expiring but who have not yet responded to December renewal email

reminder.

 Any expiring memberships not renewed by March will expire. At this point you are no longer a

member of the NBCA.

 Once a membership has expired, to become a member again you will need to complete and

submit a New Member application with sponsorship by an active NBCA member sent to the

NBCA Membership Secretary. The new member application is posted on the NBCA website.

To ensure that you receive the renewal notice email, update the membership secretary with any

changes to your email address and/or contact information. A short email to Ellen is all it takes for

her to update your information.

Many of our membership promptly send in their renewal form and dues. The NBCA is grateful for the

continuing support of our membership. We have members who although they no longer have Buhunds

continue to support the NBCA through their membership renewals. Everyone’s continued support is

greatly appreciated.
